服装语言

    与其他行业或专业‘样，服装业也有白己的行业语言。走进这一领域小或只想了解服装界的方方面面，就有必要熟悉基木术语。下面按字母顺序解释一些最常用的服装术语。

模仿改制的服装

    借用其他设计的主要元素，只在面料、辅料、和装饰元素方面改制的服装。

经典

    夏余尔套装简洁的线条数十年来一直深为人们欣赏，在很多女性的衣橱里都能看经典的风格或设计总能满足某种最基木的趣味和需求，因此能够经久不衰。根据各白对
服装鉴赏力的不同，每个人或许只有几件经典风格的服装，或许那些经久不变的经典样式挂满了衣橱。经典的重要特征之‘就是设讣上的简洁，这使它不容易很快落伍。夏奈尔套装就是一个关于经典的典型例证。其他经典的例子还有像牛仔裤、宽松外衣、开襟毛衣或套头毛衣以及前开襟牛沣衫。对于小孩子们来说，背带裤和连衣裤也成为经典。


The language of fashion

As with any industry or profession, the fashion business has its own language of the trade. To participate in the field or even just to comprehend what the world of fashion is all about, it is necessary to be familiar with the basic terminology. The most frequently used terms are defined below in alphabetical order.

Adaptation

A garment that uses the main elements of another's design, with variations on such elements as fabric, trim, and or- namentation.

Classic

A classic is a style or design that satis- fies a basic need and remains in general fashion acceptance for an extended period of time.  Depending upon the fashion statement one wishes to make, a person may have only a few classics or may have a wardrobe of mostly clas- sics. A classic is characterized by sim- plicity of design which keeps it from being easily dated. The Chanel suit is an outstanding example of a classic.
Other examples of classics are blue denim jeans, blazer jackets, cardigan or turtleneck sweaters, and button-down oxford shirts. For young children, over- alls and one-piece pajamas have be- come classics.
